Privacy policy

This policy explains how Poolify (“Poolify,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information collected through poolify.us and when you contact us about pool service. If you have questions, call us at (909) 588-6603.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote, we collect your name, phone number, ZIP code, the service you need, and anything else you choose to tell us, such as your email address, pool type, timing, and details about your pool. When you call us, we get your phone number and whatever you share on the call.

How you found us. With a quote request we also record the page you were on, the site that sent you there, and any campaign tags in the link, such as which ad you clicked.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details when it delivers them.

Ad measurement on our quote page

We advertise in ChatGPT. To learn which ads bring us customers, our quote page at poolify.us/pool-service loads a measurement pixel from OpenAI. It does not run on our other pages.

• The pixel saves a random identifier for your browser in a cookie on poolify.us named __obref, kept for one year. When you arrive from one of our ads, it also saves the ad click identifier in a cookie named __oppref, kept for 30 days.
• It tells OpenAI when you view the quote page, tap our phone number, or send a quote request.
• When you send a quote request, it can also send OpenAI your phone number, first name, and last name in hashed (scrambled) form, along with your ZIP code, so OpenAI can match the request to the ad you clicked.

This means a third party, OpenAI, collects information about what you do on our quote page and connects it to the ad you saw in ChatGPT. OpenAI handles that information under the OpenAI privacy policy.

How to turn it off. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the pixel does not load. You can also turn it off for this browser here:

How we use your information

• To respond to your request and contact you about it by phone, text message, or email.
• To quote, schedule, and provide pool service.
• To understand which ads and pages bring us customers, and to improve them.
• To keep our site and systems secure and working.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that work for us, such as the companies that host our website and our lead management system and that deliver our calls, texts, and emails. We give them what they need to do that work.
• OpenAI, for ad measurement as described above.
• Legal and safety. When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers, or others.
• Business transfers. If Poolify is part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that deal.

Cookies and browser signals

The only advertising cookies on our site are the two OpenAI pixel cookies on the quote page, described above. OpenAI’s servers may also set their own cookies when the pixel loads. We honor Global Privacy Control. We do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals, because browsers and websites never agreed on what they mean.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and customer records for as long as we need them to respond to you, provide service, and keep business records, and then we delete them.

Your choices and rights

• You can ask what personal information we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.
• Reply STOP to any text message from us to stop getting texts.
• You can turn off ad measurement as described above.

If you live in California, you may also have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act: to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, to delete or correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing for advertising, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. To make a request, call (909) 588-6603 or write to us at the address below. Before acting on a request we confirm it is you by matching the phone number or email address you gave us. You can also have an authorized agent make a request for you.

Children

Our site is for adults arranging pool service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website or system is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
